NGEN, an industry-led community funding innovation projects across Canada, sought to create a digital platform that would educate recent high school graduates about advanced manufacturing techniques. The CareersoftheFuture.ca project involved collaboration between four different agencies, each contributing to the advertising campaign, content, and web design.
One of these agencies introduced the creative look and feel for the project, and it was our agency’s responsibility to bring this vision to life through the website. My role was to interpret their visual direction and design the site’s UI, while also providing recommendations for interactive elements during development.
To engage students approaching graduation, we incorporated features like easter eggs and hidden elements, transforming the site into an exploratory experience rather than just a typical click-and-scroll interface. This approach encouraged students to actively explore and interact with the website content.
